BankManager

BankManager™ System

Introducing the new BankManager™ Generation 3

  • comes in a more stylish black case and has a screen that is twice as large.
  • the display can be dimmed and turned off.
  • includes the power switch (and a new charge reset switch) right on the case.
  • has several new features which give the user more control of the lithium bank.
  • Optionally, it can provide cold weather protection
  • Optionally, it has a facility to quickly lower the surface voltage of the bank after charge via an external load. This will further extend bank life.
  • Optionally, it has a communication pin that can be leveraged to control current overages.
  • and much more…..(see full feature list here).

    • a working lead-battery-based power system with the ability to set a maximum charging voltage appropriately for lead batteries. BankManager™ units can be used on 12, 24, 36, or 48 volt systems.
    • a lithium (LiFePO4) battery bank (at least one battery) with a BMS.
    • a contactor* (We have some that are compatible, that can be purchased along with your BankManager™, or you can supply your own low-side signaled contactor).
    • at least 1 small lead battery (in most installations thin plate starter batteries work well)
    • a contactor* (we have some that are compatible, that can be purchased along with your BankManager™, or you can supply your own low side signaled contactor).

    • If charging at exactly 50A, your batteries will charge to 100%.
    • If charging below 50A, your batteries will be overcharged and sustain damage.
    • If charging above 50A, your batteries will be undercharged. (For example, if the charge current is 500A, the batteries would reach 14.6V at only 5% of full charge!)
    • You can tell the BankManager™ to fully charge your battery (to 100%), and it will do just that, based on clues it gets about the internal chemistry of the battery (from watching the charging amp flow and voltage levels).
    • You can tell the BankManager™ to charge your bank to 50%, 80%, or 90%, and the BankManager™ will stop the charging process when that level is (more-or-less) reached.

Jack and Lisa live aboard their Hunter 410, "Shore 'Nuff" and have been happy with their system since installing it in January 2022:

    An actual customer install, explained:

Andrzej developed his own approach to mixing lead and lithium batteries, but decided in the end that the BankManager™ helped him create a more hands-off system.

Simon in the UK had a rather complex installation, but worked with Clark to incorporate the BankManager™:

Mark Z aboard "Zee Cat" recently installed the BankManager™ BBMS on his boat with a single 100Ah LiFePO4 battery in SW Florida. He is routinely seeing 13.1 or 13.2V first thing in the morning!

Dustin and his family live on an offgrid homestead and have combined the BankManager™ with their Growatt Inveter charges. This system shows the BankManager's ability to handle very large power levels:

This YouTube user shared their Lithium+Lead Hybrid Battery system with Litime 12V 100AH batteries and the BankManager. Since it's a large residential installation and not as tight as most marine installations, you can clearly see how everything is connected:
